After a year filled with speculation, Palestine's left back has finally secured a much sought after move to a foreign club.

Reports had linked Abdallah Jaber to various Egyptian clubs over the past 12 months. El-Ahly, Zamalek, ENPPI, were all rumored to be interested in signing the player.

As recently as this week a move to ENPPI seemed imminent but Arab Contractors (El Mokawoloon El Arab) swooped in at the last moment to clinch the Tayibe-born player's signature.

Jaber will move on a free transfer and his three year contract is believed to be in the region of $120,000/year.

He becomes the second Palestinian player to play for Arab Contractors- following in the footsteps of Mohammed Samara.

Arab Contractors are renowned for working with young talent and are responsible for the development of Mohammed Salah (Roma) and Mohammed El-Nenny (Arsenal) both of whom who were playing in the side just four years ago.

The 23-year old has already amassed 22 caps and a goal in just over two years with the national team. Domestically, he has proven to be an iron man with over 60 starts for Hilal Al-Quds and Ahli Al-Khaleel since 2013.

He was voted Palestine's best player of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup by Football Palestine and has played every minute of Palestine's 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

Abdallah Jaber will wear the number 27 jersey with his new club. He is one of three Palestinians now plying his trade in Egypt's top tier alongside Ramzi Saleh (El-Masry) and Abdelatif Bahdari (El-Entag El-Harbi).
